Rick_E_6-2.JPGTrying to destroy ammo136 viewsThis is a better look at one of the rounds without a fuze that was attempted to be destroyed with C4 and det cord.

The outcome was almost a disaster!

Dollies-1.JPGDonut Dollies136 viewsWow...you didn't see this very often in a combat zone! They're out of uniform, but we let them ride in our truck anyway.

As of November, 2014, we know that the Dolly in the middle is Margi Ness.

File_3-3.JPGEntrenching Tool133 viewsThe US Army entrenching tool....the time-honored way to dig your hole and doubles as a weapon also.

Actually, I was warning the Capt Jerry Roberts, the "B" Company commander, (at left) to get us out of the f-g mountains...it was too g-d cold!

File_2-6.JPG"Humanitarian Truck" gets shot up130 viewsThis 3/4 ton truck was used for humanitarian purposes to bring medical help and supplies to a local village near one of the firebases. One day, the guys went in and Charlie was waiting for them and bushwhacked them. One of the guys was wounded but made it back on foot. We immediately got the order to go in and kick ass. We were trucked in and by the time we got there, all that was left was the truck. If you enlarge the photo, you can see bullet holes in the side frame, the hood, and the windshield. We cleared the area and got choppered out to another.

File_4-2.JPGPuffing away130 viewsCigarettes were a way of life back then. FO Lt Joe Hannigan (foreground) plots our location. You must always know where you are in the jungle. Lt Hannigan was always on top of his game. You couldn't ask for a better FO and a nicer guy. {See next photo: RTO Mike Pskowski was identified in the summer of 2014 by his family who contacted the website.}
