File_7-2.JPGHumping Heavy161 viewsMy rucksack came in around 60 pounds along with an extra battery and 10 quarts of water. Plus...I packed 21 mags just in case we ran into heavy sh**. I ran out once and never again. Always "humped heavy" after that. I was carrying close to 80 pounds altogether.

Dollies-3.JPGStateside?160 viewsThese Donut Dollies take in a little bit of sun (which we had plenty of). If it weren't for the sandbags, you'd think this was a backyard photo.

File_2-1.JPGPapa San at work158 viewsWe were on a mission to watch this village on the other side of the rice paddy. After two days of sitting in the rain, we got the order on the third day to go across and check it out. It was supposed to be harboring VC. This picture taken when we were about in the middle. Papa San was out doing his daily chores.

Rick_E_5-1.JPGPartially destroyed ammo152 viewsRick explains that some ammo arrived without fuses. They were told to destroy it with C4 and det cord. The ammo was stacked pyramid style with C4 stuffed in the fuze hole and wrapped in det cord. The explosion resulted in a very large piece seen in this photo that landed in the middle of the gun section. It was fortunate that no one was hurt or killed. Detonating ammo is a job for the pros, not wannabes.
