I am very proud to say that you were my Uncle. You were taken from us way to early, at such a young age. I will say that your sister Sue Schmittou, my mother speaks of you daily. You are forever loved. God Bless and I will see you one day.
Tribute from Don Hardy:
I knew SSgt Moore. He came to "B" Battery in October, 1969 and was assigned as a Section Chief on one of the guns. I remember we moved from LZ Gypsy to the Oasis but two guns stayed behind (on a hip shoot) to give support to the infantry still in that Area of Operations (AO). He was killed while on this hip shoot as a result of an accident.
He was a good soldier. RIP Sarge.
