Ed Gregory enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after his 17th birthday, spent six years on active duty – including a tour in the Central Highlands. Half of his tour in ‘Nam was spent at Weigt-Davis, a combination engineer compound and FSB. He used the GI Bill to go to college where his first writing class was with a newspaper editor who hired him and mentored him to start a 20-year career in journalism. Always a techie at heart, he started creating Web sites when most of the world didn’t know what they were. He parlayed that hobby into a second career in corporate Information Technology. He and his wife, Ellen, have eight children between them and their 12th grandchild is due this spring.
